In my eagerness I ordered 3 CQ books, and they have arrived now. This is a real hit, at least to me:
The Magic of Crazy Quilting, 2nd edition by Marsha Michler. I love the photos of the antique quilts!
Also this is good:
An Encyclopedia of Crazy Quilt Stitches and Motifs by Linda Causee
Very clear pictures on how the stitches are done and a good choice of stitch combinations.
I could have done without the 3rd book, but maybe I can get later some ideas out of it. It seems that SRE skills are a must to give blocks a more fancy look. But later, later!

Hi Malla,
Hang on to that SRE book. I had one for 10 years or more, and just recently gave it a try. It really does give a nice 3 dimensional pop to CQ blocks. I also bought some kits for SRE projects, which gave me more ideas and a greater variety of ribbon colors.
I like your blog, but you can be just as talkative as you like on the CQ for Newbies list! You don't even have to stay on topic. You'd be amazed at some of the conversations we've had!
